DO YOU RECOGNISE ?CAN YOU HELP IDENTIFY FAMILY PHOTOS?
Dear Scottie Press, I have sent you some old photos of my family, I haven't got a clue who they are, and I thought if I could date the clothes they are wearing it might give me some idea of the dates of the photos and then I could maybe match the dates up to the people I know that were around at that time. The only information I have is that the photo of the rather grand looking man and woman has the inscription on the back Mercer Bros Electric and Daylight Studios, Liverpool and Belfast. Have you any idea who I could get in touch with that could date these photos for me. Any help you could give me would be much appreciated. MARIA BENNETT (nee Caldwell) RESIDENT LISTING SHEETSWe wonder if readers will recognise any names on these Resident Listing Sheets for Doncaster Street in 1935 and Lapworth Street in 1966.
MAY DAY PARADE
Our thanks go to Frank Hird who asks if anyone can recognise faces on this photo taken - during a May Day Parade - in Great Homer Street. Franks says the ohoto was taken pre 1939. SCHOOL'S RAF CADETS
Our thanks go to Peter Corcoran for providing this issue of the Scottie Press with a photo taken of the Archbishop Whiteside School's RAF Cadets at RAF Coltishall as part of a Summer Camp. Peter tells us that all the lads were from the Scottie Road area. Peter is on the right in the Para-Uniform and also on the photo are Fred and John McMahon - we ask if readers can name others? DO YOU RECOGNISE ANY FACES?We wonder if readers will be able to recognise any faces on these photographs - for which we do not have any identification other than we believe they picture children from the Scotland Road area. If you can name a face or identify the location wherein the photograph was taken please email your information and we will add it to this webpage. You may also have a similar photograph to those we show that you need information on. If you do please email the photograph and we will add it to this webpage.
